CT Valley Mycological Society Foray – Kent

Foray attendees need to wear their CVMS nametags.  These requirements are in place because of concerns with people coming to collect edible mushrooms.  Mycologists are well aware that there are deadly mushroom species that can be confused with edible species.  Each member is personally responsible for the identification of any mushrooms intended for eating.  CVMS takes no responsibility for the misuse or misidentification of any mushrooms. Many CVMS members do collect edible species and bring them home to cook and eat, and they are happy to share their knowledge.

Forays gather at 9:45am and head out to collect at 10am.  They return at noon for lunch.
