CT Botanical Society Spring Meeting – New Haven, CT Ag Exp. Station – Mosses
April 12 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Dr. Bernard Goffinet from the UConn Bryology and Lichenology lab will be presenting on mosses and lichens. Attendees will be able to use provided microscopes to investigate some specimens that CBS members will be bringing in. If you have a moss or lichen needing identification, feel free to bring it in a plastic zip lock bag, and CBS members will assist in, but not guarantee ID.

This will be held in the Jones Auditorium at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven, 123 Huntington Street.

11AM – Guest Lecture – Dr. Bernard Goffinet, renowned Bryologist and Lichenologist at UConn will talk about moss evolution: “Are Mosses Sphinxes of the Past?”
Potluck lunch following conclusion of the lecture. CBS is proud to be low-waste, please bring your own dish, mug and utensils.
